Field vers02
I’m interested in connections between human’s identity and culture as it was shaped from nature, and the human that is constructing nature to landscape because of its culture and identity. Field vers02 shows a constructed landscape with the use of the flat, diagonals and the horizon. With the use of these references to modernism and with the use of the tools that are making the image, I point towards how modern human concepts and technology relates to nature and the landscape. -Espen Tversland

Espen Tversland
Espen Tversland graduated from the National Academy of Fine Art in Oslo 2002. He has participated in several group shows and festivals, mainly in Norway. He has received several grants and jury prizes for his works, which also are purchased by private collectors. Tversland is currently working on his first solo exhibition opening in 2007 in Bodø kunstforening.
