The artist performs a German folk song (Die Gedanken sind frei) in public places in Tehran, Iran. This public act becomes illegal in Iran as female performance is allowed only for a female audience.

Yvonne Buchheim
In her project, Song Archive, Yvonne Buchheim examines contemporary song culture. She began this project in 2003; since then she has explored issues of identity through song in the UK, Germany, Ireland, France, USA and Iran.  Through her Song Archive project Buchheim has been awarded artist residencies at the Oriel Davies Gallery, Wales in 2007, Cheekwood Museum of the Art, Nashville, USA in 2006, Paradise Arts Centre, Tehran, Iran and Folkatronica, Dublin in 2005 and the ACC Galerie, Weimar, Germany in 2003. Solo exhibitions include the Butler Gallery, Ireland and Oriel Davies Gallery, 2007, Syndicat Potential, Strasbourg, 2006, Vakalo Art Gallery, Athens and Triskel Arts Centre, Cork, 2002 and the Q-Arts Gallery, Derby, 2001.
